From 6 to 10 September 2023 at Zurich Main Station
Zurich (ptp002/27.08.2023/15:00)
The Ticino self-taught artist Maria Möschberger will present her works at SWISSARTEXPO 6 from September 10 to 2023 under the pseudonym "Mamoés".
Maria Möschberger's works are particularly characterized by their triple representation of spirit, soul and body. The spirit often manifests itself in a monochrome black and white aesthetic, which sometimes takes on abstract or geometric shapes. The soul, on the other hand, finds its expression in bright colors and is often embodied by animal figures or human beings. The object, the third element of his works, represents the material dimension and reflects not only its external shape, but also its purpose and use.
This complexity recalls the different dimensions of a human being - starting from its spiritual origin, through the soul up to the physical identity.
The symbolism woven into Maria Möschberger's works conveys an intimate and unconscious message to the viewer. His works invite you to dive deep into your psyche and explore the connections between individual experiences and the collective unconscious. The images unfold on a metaphysical level, characterized by archetypes and symbols, which stimulates the mind to think beyond the obvious.
Especially fascinating is Möschberger's unique way of working, which she herself describes as intuitive painting. Like a sculptor who works with different materials, she chooses doors, windows, old wooden planks and furniture such as tables, chairs and cabinets like canvases. Möschberger literally feels a communication with the objects and materials, as if they speak to and inspire her. Maria often chooses to paint directly on the furniture with the desire to free them from their passive position on the walls. Furniture painted in this way is a work of art that can be experienced in everyday gestures; An art that lives with people.
A selection of these expressive works of art will be exhibited as part of SWISSARTEXPO from 6 to 10 September at Zurich Main Station. Together with the creations of various other artists, the unique works of Maria Möschberger will be on the walls of Switzerland
Adorn art festivals and impress visitors from all over the world.
